Happy New Year from all @ Silsden AFC

We start off the New Year with more than a generous covering of snow, ok it cancels all football games but if we only have it like this every 30 years, I'll be 90 for the next one, so I'm quite looking forward to it.

Our next Sports Club function is on Saturday 30th January.

Its the ever popular race night and is being held for the "Footballs Coming Home" appeal.

We still have 4 races left to sponsor @ £20 each and some horses to name and sponsor @ £5 each

These nights always prove popular and @ £7.50 including supper its cheaper than going to Ripon or Wetherby!

An update on the "Footballs Coming Home" appeal.

Cash pledges are @ £1751 with the Race Night and our acclaimed club writer and supporter, Rob Grillo, attempting to run the equivalent of 10 marathons over a 10 day period when he takes on the 268 mile Pennine way in July.

He is obviously looking for sponsors or anyone who would like to run part of the distance with him.
