You will all know of our major sponsors plight and so must carry on without a main sponsor for this season.
We met with the league and ground chairmen during the last couple of weeks and they gave us concessions to help the ground update.
This has brought the project cost down from £184,000 to below £80,000, of which we have been promised 50% matched funding from the FA, if they have sufficient funds.
So, back to us as a club, our share of under £40,000 has to be found by next year. We have 2, as yet to be confirmed pledges of around £8,000.
We need to either borrow, on around a 4-year term, or have donated money.
Anyone donating over £1,000 will be made a life vice president and anyone over £5,000 a life member.
We will never ever have a better time than now to fulfill the Silsden AFC dream.
So, what can you do to help, the first and obvious thing is to donate to the regeneration fund as outlined above or organise and run money making events.
Suggestions are great but we need your commitment, the committee will help all it can but we are only volunteers and obviously our time is spread very thin.
If everyone reading this donated £1000 we would have in excess of £200,000 but we don’t need so much. If everyone reading this donated £100 we would have in excess of £20,000, and were almost there. Remember the FA will match all we can accumulate, so £10 becomes £20
